🅱️ B is for Bubbles! 🫧
Our Pre-K students explored science today by making lava lamps with oil, water, food coloring, and effervescent tablets. This hands-on activity helped them:
🔬 Observe cause and effect
(oil and water don’t mix)!
📖 Build vocabulary – bubble, fizz, float, sink
🧠 Practice sequencing & problem solving – following steps in order
✋ Strengthen fine motor skills – pouring, dropping, and stirring
A perfect blend of science, literacy, and motor development all while keeping students engaged and curious!

🌟 Way to go, Pre-K! 🌟 Mrs. Amelia's class earned 10 compliments for following the rules, showing kindness, and being star students all around the school! 🎉👏 To celebrate their amazing behavior, they enjoyed a cool popsicle treat on this beautiful day. 🍦☀️ We are so proud of our little leaders for shining bright and setting such a great example! 💛

Ms. Briana's class got to have an extra recess all to themselves and a popsicle party for getting 10 class compliments on their chain! They loved testing out their new shoes🤍

🌈Congratulations to this week’s Kindergarten sight words list readers! All of the kindergarten sight words are divided up into different color lists. As students learn that color set of words, they will earn a bracelet and a certificate. These students have learned the Blue set of sight words!!
🌟Keep learning sight words to level up and be a reader!!🌟

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Students! 🌟
⭐️ Ms. Angie’s small group practiced reading fluency by reading/singing a story to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!

We are positively proud of these sweet students!! 🤩

🐠🐟 A HUGE Thank You! 🐟🐠
We would like to give a big shout-out to Petsense of Abbeville by Tractor Supply for their generous donation of fish, fish tanks, and fish food for our Pre-K classrooms! 💙
Thanks to their kindness, our little learners are kicking off our Pets unit with real fish to observe, care for, and learn about. 🐡 This is such an exciting, hands-on way to teach responsibility, science, and curiosity, and we couldn’t do it without amazing community partners like you! 🙌
Thank you for helping us make learning come to life! 🫧✨

Mrs. Katie's Prize Patrol was on a roll this morning!! Congratulations to all of our Positive Office Referral recipients!! ‼️🤩🚨🏆

L is for Lemonade! 🍋 Today our Pre-K scientists measured, squeezed, stirred, and taste-tested their way to the perfect sip. Some lemons were sweet, some were seriously sour — but every kiddo helped mix, pour, and enjoy a refreshing treat on this hot day. Big smiles, sticky fingers, and lots of learning. 💛

First grade is learning about different regions and resources in Louisiana. Mrs. Genny’s students got to look at and touch an alligator head from a 13’ alligator and an alligator snapping turtle from the bayous and swamps of Louisiana! We also drew and measured a 13’ alligator body to see how long it was in real life!

Crafts using math and fine motor skills!
