Vermilion Parish Schools will reopen on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. All SBLC meetings that were previously scheduled for Monday (26th) and Tuesday (27th) of this week at Eaton Park have been rescheduled for February. Parent notification letters will go home soon.
District cold weather dress will be in place for all students and teachers for the remainder of the week.
Students will be indoors as soon as they arrive on campus and outside activity will not resume until temperatures are well above freezing later in the day.
As a reminder, Wednesday is no longer a 1/2 day PD and will be a full day for both teachers and students.

Snowball Names Fun! ❄️
Just in time for the chilly weather and this weekend’s freeze, our Pre-K friends brought the snow indoors with a Snowball Names literacy activity! ⛄📚
The children had a blast “tossing” snowballs while building important early literacy skills! Through this hands-on small-group activity, students are learning to:
✨ Recognize their names
✨ Identify letters in their names
✨ Match upper and lowercase letters
✨ Strengthen letter recognition
✨ Build confidence and engagement with print

Mrs. Genny’s first grade class has been busy in math measuring objects around their classroom using centimeter cubes! They recorded their answers and compared lengths of objects using “shorter than” and “longer than” statements.
Ms. Michelle's kindergarten students love engaging with Zearn lessons and working in groups during intervention and math smart group time! Differentiated small group instruction allows students the opportunity to make discoveries and engage with their peers, while improving academic achievement! Keep up the good work kindergarten Wildcats!!
