MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE FACULTY AND STAFF OF EATON PARK ELEMENTARY!

Mrs. Jennifer’s class learned the
/j/ sound this week when it’s spelled ge, gi, and gy! They made gingerbread men and while kids were at recess, she turned the classroom into an “oven” and the paper gingerbreads the students made, turned into real gingerbread men!! It was a magical experience

Kindergarten is making Christmas patterns and number recognition during math intervention!

The EPE community would like to congratulate Ms. Alexa Hebert who was named Support Person of the Year!

Due to anticipated cold temperatures tomorrow morning, Eaton Park students and staff may wear free dress to stay warm. We will not collect money for jeans tomorrow. (No pajamas are allowed.)

Wishing our EPE families a great break!

Thank you Junior Auxiliary of Vermilion for purchasing a new washer and dryer for our school. We are SO grateful to them to have the capability of cleaning clothes/blankets, etc. for our students! Your generosity means the world to our school community!

Mrs. Chelsie's Kindergarten classes had Thanksgiving fun and a special visitor from ACA today!

Ms. Hannah’s and Mrs. Lauren’s kindergarten class celebrated Thanksgiving with extra story time and making pumpkin pie in a cup! They read I am thankful and 10 fat turkeys. Then they made their own pumpkin pie. Finally everyone practiced casting their own vote and counting to see the winner. It looks like they like Pumpkin Pie in Cup! 🥧

What a better way to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday than with a parade of balloons similar to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade? Students in Mrs. Jennifer’s class listened to the story Balloons Over Broadway: The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy’s Parade by Melissa Sweet and learned about the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then, they spent the week writing their opinion about why their balloon was best. They became balloon artists and colored their balloon choice and got to parade it for the rest of first grade!

Miss Molly's 1st graders made Thanksgiving pies today!

Mrs. Victoria's 1st grade class listened to A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving while eating the food they read about!

Mrs. Faith and her students have been working on health literacy, in PE, by learning about food groups!
